President Kavanaugh-

Thank you for your email. Since I don't believe we've met, I will tell you little bit about myself: I support sports -- I played soccer & volleyball in High school. I have coached my daughters almost year-round in soccer since 2006 in Myersville & Middletown.

I support building a facility, but I recognize in this current economic climate, with a predicted County budget shortfall of approximately fifteen million dollars, it is unlikely that the money can come from the capital or operating budgets, though I would do my best to make it so. I would pursue this in with the Board of Education, since this program will benefit students.

Lastly, as I have done earlier this year at the joint BoE/BoCC meetings on March 16 & April 20, I would pursue public-private partnerships, community donations, endowments, etc. - whatever it took to make this a reality, if the money can't be found in the BoCC and/or BoE budgets.
