Candidate
Linda Norris
Responds to FCAST Letter Dear
Mr. Kavanaugh,
It is clear from your letter that your organization does its homework,
is open to compromise and is energetic and willing to work hard to
meet your goals. As a candidate, I share your enthusiasm, and also
your trepidation about the pressures the current economic situation
is placing on all our county needs. As a past member of the Parks and
Recreation Commission, I recall discussions more than a decade ago
about the need for aquatic facilities for our residents, so I share
your view.
We will be struggling to provide basic services in th coming years, so
we will have to work with you to pace ourselves to move forward in
these areas yet keep our tax rate at a place where our residents can
afford to live here.
If I am elected, I look forward to working with your group on creative
solutions to this problem that include, as you so skillfully pointed
out, public private partnerships.
Thank for all the information and I hope to be able to see how we can
work together on this issue.
Regards,
Linda Norris
