Responds to FCAST Letter Good
Morning Mr. Kavanaugh,
I am
supporter of your efforts. When the FCPS floated the notion to close
the swimming and diving programs I actually
donated money, through the fund raising efforts of Blaine Young, to
keep your programs alive. My campaign stands for fiscal responsibility
and
common sense with accountability and I see very little of any of this
in the administration level of our school system. As you know, a new
board is about to be elected and depending on the folks that are elected,
major changes could be coming. Without a doubt, the former mantra of "if
you are not for us you are not for the kids" played on the emotions
of the electorate but, sadly, this was just an election ploy. Did you
ever ask yourself why the kids always take the hits first?? I do, and
in my way of thinking the adults will take all of the hits until we
unload all of waste and over paid administration staff, along with
their perks.
Just so their is no confusion, if elected, I will be representing the
tax payers, children, teachers, food service and maintenance staff.
These groups are long overlooked and under appreciated. I am in your
corner
and will do my best to protect a good educational and high school after
hours experience. Pools are to swim in and not be held hostage. Good
Luck with your efforts I am doing my best to get elected.
Best Regards,
Jimmy Reeder
